TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

Infrastructure

This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

This is the thing that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works depends on you.
